Call for Tenure Track Faculty Position in Geodesy
The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology invites applicants for a one tenure track faculty position in the Division of Transportation and Geoinformation Engineering.
The Division of Transportation and Geoinformation Engineering at the Technion is committed to excellence in teaching and interdisciplinary research aimed at providing the knowledge base, innovation and human proficiency needed to shape an efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation systems. Within the division, the Geoinformation group covers several disciplines: Geodesy, GPS, Remote Sensing, GIS and Cadaster mapping.
The position in Geodesy is open to all academic levels with priority to young applicants and background in the mathematical and physical aspects of Geodesy including Terrestrial and Satellite Geodesy. Proven potential in conducting cutting edge geodetic engineering and scientific research in problems of wide global attention is of great importance. Teaching expectations are in graduate/undergraduate courses of geodetic engineering, such as mathematical geodesy, physical geodesy, satellite geodesy and planetary geodesy.
Applicants should have a basic knowledge of Hebrew, and have demonstrated leadership and commitment to teaching and research in the academic environment. The applicant should have or be able to obtain a work permit in Israel.
