Selected candidates will work on development of new signal and array processing algorithms based on compressive sensing and other similar approaches. 

 

Candidates are also expected to design sonar waveforms for continuous active sonar applications and study its performance for a given scenario through simulations.

 

Job Requirements

  • A PhD in relevant field

  • 3 to 4 years experience in the field of array signal processing with special emphasis on underwater applications

  • Strong and proven skills in the area of signal processing and modelling for underwater applications

  • Working experience in the field of underwater acoustic sensors and arrays. Knowledge about beamforming  is desirable

  • Good programming skills under Matlab or similar scientific programming environment

  • Self-motivated individual who can work with minimum supervision

  • Participation in field trials at sea

  • Must be prepared to work extra hours to fulfil the objectives of the project requirements and meet the deliverables

 

 

Salary


Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. Unless otherwise specified, appointment is on contract basis which is renewable subject to performance and project funds availability.
