A Project Research Associate Position
at the Institute for Solid State Physics (ISSP), the University of Tokyo


The ISSP is seeking outstanding candidates for a project research associate position in
the International MegaGauss Science Laboratory. The successful candidate will collaborate with
Profs. Kindo, Tokunaga and Kohama to conduct development of novel experimental
instruments under long-pulsed high magnetic fields and to promote the joint research project.


Applications of excellent experimentalists in different areas are also considered. The term
o f appointment is five years.


Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field, or otherwise must get
a degree before the starting date of appointment. Applications should include the
following documents prepared either in English or Japanese and should be sent by post or
alternatively by online. All the documents must arrive no later than October 24th
, 2017.


1) CV with photo including academic record and professional career
2) Complete list of publications (mark three most important papers)
3) Copy of the papers marked above
4) Summary of research accomplishments (up to two pages)
5) Research plan (up to two pages)
6) List of two Referees
