Sort by publication: 2018-01-17

Uppsala University is a broad research university with a strong international position. The task is to conduct research and education of the highest quality and to cooperate in different ways with society. Our most important asset is all the individuals who, with their curiosity and commitment, make Uppsala University one of the country's most exciting workplaces. Uppsala University has 40,000 students, 7,000 employees and a turnover of 6.5 billion.

The Department of Materials Theory offers world-class research in first principle calculations of material properties. Within the research group, in addition to utilization of existing programs, development and implementation of new computational methods and analytical work with model Hamiltonians. The focus is on magnetization dynamics, magnetic materials with energy applications, highly correlated electron structures, dynamic medium field theory (DMFT), topological phenomena, quantum mechanics interactions, and graphs and other two-dimensional materials. The postdoctoral will participate in these activities, especially in the development of electronic structure methods where a background in DMFT, TD-DFT and QMC is a merit.

A suitable background for the applicant is a doctorate in physics or equivalent, with good knowledge of the theory of theory / material theory of the solid state. The exam must not be older than three years at the time of application.

The application must contain a letter describing the applicant as well as his qualifications and interests. It must contain a CV, a copy of the doctorate, and the applicant's research articles.

Uppsala University values the qualities that even gender distribution and diversity add to the business. We therefore look forward to searching for all sexes and with different birth background, functionality and life experience
