Lecturer or Assistant Professor in Physical and Analytical Chemistry Concordia University, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applications for a limited-term appointment to teach physical and analytical chemistry at the introductory level. Applicants should have a PhD in chemistry or a related field with formal teaching experience at the University level and a strong commitment to undergraduate education.


Applications should consist of a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy/interests, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. This position is subject to budgetary approval and department/unit need. Individuals holding limited-term appointments may be granted a subsequent appointment, given continued funding and need, as well as satisfactory job performance. Together, initial appointments and subsequent appointments may not exceed 36 months or a span of three consecutive years. They are normally at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor, beginning August 1, 2018 and ending May 14, 2019. Successful candidates will normally be expected to teach three courses per semester.
