Announcement for the Position of Full Professorship

1. Position: Full Professor (one person)

2. Affiliation: Department of Physics, School of Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology

3. Research field and job description: Theoretical research in Nuclear Physics or related area, teaching
undergraduate and graduate courses including the first year physics, and contribution to managements in the
faculty and the department

4. Expected start date: On or as early as possible after April 1st 2018.

5. Requirements: Applicants must have Doctoral degree or Ph. D. in physics or closely related area

6. Employment status: Full-time(Tenured), retirement age 65


7. Salary: It will be determined according to the National University Corporation Tokyo Institute of Technology
Salary Regulations for Employees, with annual or monthly salary, which will be determined before starting
the position.

papers with attached copies must be marked with citation counts), ii) conference proceedings/talks (mark
invited talks), iii) review or commentary articles, and iv) books. In addition, total citation count of refereed
original papers and h-index must be shown.

3) Awards, prizes, other honors worthy of special mention, and/or summary of professional society activities
and social contributions, grants and contracts (mark whether principal investigator or not)

4) Brief statement of research achievements (up to two A4 size pages) and educational careers

5) Brief statement of future research plan (up to two A4 size pages) and educational plan, possible start date


6) List of four references with affiliations and e-mail addresses (at least two outside Japan), including the
authors of the letters of reference or recommendation.


7) PDF copies of five significant papers


8) Two letters of reference or recommendation (at least one from outside Japan)
Letters of reference or recommendation must be sent directly from the authors of the letters to the same
E-mail address as above with a subject: Reference-LastName.GivenName , where LastName and
