Research Assistant - Chemical Inventory


We are looking for a meticulous first or second year chemistry student or laboratory technician student to do a chemical inventory at the Department of Applied Physics. You enjoy going through shelves filled with lots of chemical “surprises” and are not afraid of sorting out chemical flasks and adding stickers to them. We expect you to understand the basics of classification of chemical compounds. An attitude promoting safety aspects is essential for carrying out the work successfully.


You will work with many groups doing different kinds of research in the area of materials science – from surface chemistry to nanoparticles and solar energy applications. You will meet top researchers in the field of materials science and you can create contacts that may help you in your future career.


The task amounts to about 1.5 months of full-time work during spring 2018. You can decide if you do it as a part time job over a longer period of time or as a full time job over 1.5 months. Salary will be agreed in line with the department’s salary guidelines.
