The Institute for Quantum Science and Technology in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position focused on resource theories. This project is supported by the Faculty of Science Grand Challenge Program.

 

Job Description:

 

The successful postdoctoral scholar will work with project co-leads Gilad Gour and Barry Sanders, project partners, and students to develop a universal resource theory for science with applications to quantum information, gene regulation, and chemical catalysis and beyond. The postdoctoral scholar will be expected to present research advances in seminars, project meetings, conferences and journal publications.

 

Qualifications:

 

The successful candidate must hold a PhD or equivalent, demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, and have an excellent research track record in quantum information or related discipline. Proficient computational skills, knowledge of quantum resource theories, and significant breadth of scientific knowledge are highly desirable.
