PROFESSOR IN ELECTROCHEMICAL BATTERIES
At the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Energy Technology a position as Professor in Electrochemical Batteries is open for appointment for a period of 5 years from 1. February 2019 or soon hereafter. The Department of Energy Technology is an expanding department covering most fields of Energy Technology ranging from electrical energy (Power Systems, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines) to thermal energy including Energy Systems and Fluid Mechanics and Combustion but also mechatronic systems. The department has about 250 employees – out of them are more than 100 Ph.D. students. The laboratory-facilities are world-class and the research carried out are most often in collaboration with industry. This position is part of a special Aalborg University initiative concerning Distinguished International Professors that AAU provides for the purpose of increasing internationalization and research performance in selected fields. Together with the position, a top-up programme valued at more than one million Euros for employment of PhDs and Post docs during the five-year period is defined.

AGREEMENT Appointment and salary acc. to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of professional Associations (AC) on Academics in the State. Employment as Professor is in accordance with a classified position on scale 37. In addition, a pensionable increment will be given.
