Tenure Track Position in Physical Chemistry / Surface Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) welcomes applications from qualified individuals for a tenure-track position in Physical Chemistry / Surface Chemistry.


The chosen candidate will be engaged in teaching, research, and community service, and will provide pedagogical guidance.


  • Must hold a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, in an area of physical chemistry or surface sciences.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with international postdoctoral experience.


  • Must have a strong publication record in leading journals, and be able to land individual grants in any area of surface chemistry, interface sciences, analysis and/or modification of surfaces.


  • Must be able to teach all or some physical chemistry courses, both basic and advanced, at all levels.
  • Applicants are expected to demonstrate how they would contribute to the activities of at least one research unit affiliated with the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics.


  • Knowledge of French is required for this position.
  • All qualified individuals are invited to apply; however, priority will be given to applicants with Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
