DESCRIPTION

The Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics (SCIPP, http://scipp.ucsc.edu/) and the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics (https://www.astro.ucsc.edu/) at the University of California Santa Cruz invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Scholar under the direction of Assistant Professor Alexie Leauthaud. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct forefront research with the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) survey (http://desi.lbl.gov) with opportunities to work on a broad range of topics including but not limited to cosmology, clusters, clustering, redshift-space distortions, gravitational lensing, simulations, and cross-correlations. Applications from candidates with both observational and theoretical backgrounds will be considered. The candidate will join a diverse and vibrant cosmology research program (https://cosmology.sites.ucsc.edu/) and an active group of DESI members (including faculty X. Prochaska and Connie Rockosi).
