The successful applicant shall study the effects of changing climate and land cover on gaseous ecosystem fluxes of water, carbon and nitrogen with a particular focus on greenhouse gases. Interest and experience in applied fields of global change research, agriculture, forestry, nature conservation, or ecosystem restoration are highly welcome. Applied methods must comprise up-to-date techniques in micro-meteorology and related data processing, and candidates should have strong skills in field measurements, process-based modelling, and statistics. The successful candidate is expected to teach in BSc and MSc programs in landscape ecology (environmental sciences) and in associated BSc programs (geography, geoinformatics).
