The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in physics or related fields. The person hired will conduct research on transient structures inside the Earth's foreshock. The incumbent shall conduct simulations to understand the formation mechanisms and characteristics of foreshock transients. Demonstrated experience with numerical simulations, spacecraft data analysis, and space plasma theory are desired. a Ph.D. in physics or related fields is required. Work is to be carried out in collaboration with Dr. Terry Zixu Liu and Prof. Vassilis Angelopoulos. Candidates must provide a (a) curriculum vitae, (b) cover letter, (c) statement of research (max 1 page), (d) statement on contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and the names of three - five references including names and contact information.
