Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University? Do you have an excellent research record and proven success obtaining funding?

The School of Food Science and Nutrition is the oldest and highest ranked university department of food science in the UK. The School is continuing to invest in new academic staff, expanding its capability in biochemistry. The post holder will be required to deliver inspirational teaching and supervision as well as internationally recognised research. We invite applications from outstanding academics of who are able to demonstrate a track record in student education, research and academic leadership.

As a lecturer in the School of Food Science and Nutrition, you will carry out teaching and research in the field of analytical biochemistry and contribute to academic leadership. Your research will focus particularly on understanding the role of bioactives (primarily phytochemicals) in contributing to more sustainable diets for better health. You will be a member of the Nutritional Sciences and Epidemiology research group, building collaborations with research groups in the school, the wider university, nationally and internationally.

With a passion for undertaking research-led teaching as well as a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolio, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of student education and research at the University of Leeds.
