Job Overview

UCC wishes to appoint an academic to the role of Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Chemical Engineering.

Reporting to the Head of School, the successful candidate will:

• Provide a substantial research contribution to relevant UCC Futures initiatives.
• Support the ongoing development of teaching programmes in Process and Chemical Engineering and within the School of Engineering and Architecture.
• Contribute particularly to the professionally accredited BE (Hons) degree and the integrated ME in Process and Chemical Engineering.
• Deliver research-led classroom teaching.
• Develop new course offerings.
• Supervise research students.
• Participate in Discipline, School, and College Committees.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a substantial research contribution to relevant UCC Futures.

Additional Information

• Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.

Salary

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Above the Bar) Salary Scale:

• Scale B: €79,976 – €103,575
• Scale A: €76,091 – €98,394

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
