Location Wageningen

We are looking for

Do you have experience with education and a can-do attitude and entrepreneurial spirit? And do you combine a clear affinity with the Geo-Information Science domain with the ability to strengthen the profile and visibility of our Master in Geo-Information Sciences program? Then we are looking for you!

To strengthen the profile and visibility of our study program we are hiring a lecturer. MGI is a healthy and strong study program, which has steadily grown over the last 10 years. However, more educational programs at other universities tap in to our domain, so we need to develop a strategy to profile MGI, improve our visibility and engage alumni. The goal is to establish a stronger MGI community and stabilize student inflow over the oncoming years.

We need someone who is eager to find out how we can best improve the visibility of our program and can assist the study advisor and program director to investigate possibilities to this visibility. Practically this implies development of (digital) information material, revise social media and web presence, and organize (online and offline) social events. For this role it is important to have the following personal competences: creativity, a collaborative personality and a proactive attitude.

Are you a hardworking person with some knowledge on geo-information, remote sensing and its applications? Do you have experience in social media and creating information material? And are you a pleasant teammate willing to join us for successful and innovative education? Then we like to get you onboard! You will do this at the greenest and most innovative campus in the Netherlands, and at a university that has been chosen as the “Best University” for the 16th consecutive time.

  • working hours that can be discussed and arranged so that they allow for the best possible work-life balance;
  • the option to accrue additional holiday hours by working more, up to 40 hours per week;
  • there is a strong focus on vitality and you can make use of the sports facilities available on campus for a small fee;
  • a fixed December bonus of 8.3%;
  • excellent pension scheme.
In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. Depending on your experience, we offer a one year contract for 0.5 fte, with a competitive gross salary of between € 2.790,- and € 4.402,- for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 10).
