Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams and problem sets, and supervising teaching assistants. Lecturer appointments are established quarter by quarter according to the instructional needs and budget constraints of the department. Applications will be kept on file for consideration for any openings that may occur throughout the year. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in physics or astronomy and have prior experience in teaching large undergraduate courses at the college level. Candidates should provide a curriculum vitae and a statement of teaching philosophy (ca. 1 page). The deadline for applications is June 30, 2020.
