Lincoln University has a student roll of around 3,000 and approximately 700 staff. 

The Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences is the largest Academic Faculty within Lincoln University and is made up of four research driven Departments: Soil and Physical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Food Wine and Molecular Biosciences, and Pest Management and Conservation.    

The Department of Wine, Food and Molecular Biosciences is responsible for delivery of the Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology, the Bachelor of Science (Food Science) and teaching for other related courses. Staff are actively involved in teaching, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and involved in a wide range of research projects. We invite applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Food Biochemistry. This is a permanent, fulltime position.

To be considered, you will need to have: 

  • A PhD in Food Biochemistry or a closely related discipline
  • Bachelor and Honours or Masters qualifications preferably in biochemistry, food science or related disciplines
  • The ability and enthusiasm to teach biochemistry and its application to the food, wine and other biological industries
  • A research interest in the molecular composition of foods and how this can be changed with innovative technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
