Lecturers in the CalTeach/MAST University of California Davis United States

DESCRIPTION

The CalTeach/MAST (Mathematics and Science Teaching Program) at the University of California, Davis, anticipates openings for part-time Lecturers to teach courses during the 2019-20 academic year contingent upon the instructional needs of the department. Applicants must possess, at a
minimum, a Master of Art in Teaching and have prior teaching experience at the college/university level, and ideally have experience in K-12 classrooms as well. 
These positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement.


Qualifications:
• Minimum professional degree requirement is a Master of Art in Teaching
• Evidence of teaching excellence (or potential for excellence).
• A developing record of scholarly or professional achievement.


Lecturers are selected to fill specialized positions which require their professional as well as their academic expertise to meet the teaching needs occasioned by sabbatical leaves and/or leaves of absence of regular faculty or general instructional needs of the unit. Therefore, in any given year, open positions and requirements for individuals to fill them will vary.
