We focus on the relationship between molecular/electronic structure and spectroscopic parameters, especially those in magnetic resonance. If you are interested in applied quantum chemistry with a focus on heavy element compounds, this is an ideal opportunity for you. The Marek lab has access to state-of-the-art computational tools and cutting-edge NMR instruments at our local core facility, which are available for regular use. Our lab has secured third-party funding, so we are well equipped to support your research. We are seeking a creative, independent, and motivated colleague with relevant experience in fields such as computational, theoretical or physical chemistry or chemical physics. Candidates with expertise in DFT or theoretical spectroscopy are particularly encouraged to apply.
