PhD Fellow in Molecular Magnetic MaterialsDepartment of Chemistry, Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen is offering two PhD scholarships in Molecular Magnetic Materials commencing 01.06.2021 (position PhD1), 01.09.2021 (position PhD2), or as soon as possible thereafter. The positions are available in the Inorganic Chemistry section. The Inorganic Chemistry section carries out fundamental experimental and theoretical work, in inorganic chemistry. Project description The first PhD project (PhD1) will investigate the potential of heterodinuclear lanthanide coordination complexes as bimodal Magnetic Resonance / Near InfraRed imaging agents. The second PhD project (PhD2) will investigate the potential of lanthanide coordination complexes to be used as physical support for the implementation of Quantum Information Processing protocols. Job description The position is available for a 3-year period and your key tasks as a PhD student at SCIENCE are: • To manage and carry out your research project Formal requirements Applicants should hold an MSc degree in Chemistry or be expected to finish their MSc degree in Chemistry before the 01-06-2021 (PhD1) or the 01-09-2021 (PhD2), with good results and good English skills Terms of employment The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State. The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 331,125 (approx. €43,750) including annual supplement (+ pension at a minimum DKK 53,811). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
