PhD Position in Chemistry (Masaryk University)

The group of Radek Marek at the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC), Masaryk University, is looking for a doctoral student in supramolecular chemistry. If you are passionate about studying the supramolecular properties of anticancer metallodrugs, this is the perfect opportunity for you! In particular, we explore ligand modifications and host-guest complementarity between platinum-based metallodrugs and macrocyclic carriers (cucurbiturils) and their effects on the biological response. You will have access to a modern chemistry lab and state-of-the-art NMR instruments at our local core facility for regular use. Comprehensive training in supramolecular and NMR techniques will be provided to the successful candidate. We are seeking a creative, independent, and motivated individual with relevant experience in fields such as structural chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry.
