The Niels Bohr Institute at University of Copenhagen is announcing a three-year postdoctoral position within the field of submillimeter astronomy. The successful candidate will join an active research group led by Jes Jørgensen dedicated to studies of the earliest stages of star and planet formation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a particular interest in observations of star and planet forming regions to participate in work on data from an allocated large program at the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). The focus of the work will be on the structure on au scales of protoplanetary disks during their earliest stages and their physical and chemical evolution. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in infrared/submillimeter observations and/or continuum and line radiative transfer modeling.

Terms of employment

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.843 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.871). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
