The Center for Quantum Devices is a basic research center supported by the Danish National Research Foundation, comprising materials research, experimental physics, nanoelectronics and condensed matter theory. The position The Center for Quantum Devices, Niels Bohr Institute, is seeking two postdoctoral fellows to work on an experimental program to develop scalable high coherence superconducting qubit circuits based on epitaxial superconductor-semiconductor hybrid materials. Candidates should have a PhD in experimental physics and ideally experience in millikelvin cryogenics, microwave electronics, and device fabrication. The research will extend recent experiments on semiconductor-based superconducting gatemon qubits: doi.org/10.1038/s41565-018-0207-y The position is open from October 15, 2019, or by arrangement. The duration is two years with the possibility of extension. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State. The starting salary is 405k DKK plus pension contribution up to 69k DKK. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
