About the Role

The School is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Cosmology to work with Drs Chris Clarkson, Philip Bull and Timothy Clifton on relativistic effects in large-scale structure. Applicants should have a strong research track record within cosmology or related fields, ideally in areas that involve simulations or analytic calculations of observable relativistic effects in structure formation. Applicants with experience working with large-scale structure simulations and/or data analysis, or survey forecasting, are also strongly encouraged to apply.

About You

Candidates must have a PhD (thesis submitted by job commencement) in cosmology or a closely related subject. A good working knowledge of recent developments in Cosmology is essential as is a record of relevant publications in international journals.  Experience of working on structure formation in relativistic cosmology is highly desirable.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 2 years, with an expected start date 1 September 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £33,324–£40,194 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
