Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Superconducting Quantum Circuits University of Oxford Department of Physics United States

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Superconducting Quantum Circuits.

The post is available for a fixed-term duration of 18 months.

This project will be on the research and development of scalable high quality superconducting quantum microwave circuits for quantum computing. The successful candidate will design and carry out experiments on superconducting microwave circuits in state-of-the-art cryogenic laboratories, and analyse, write up for publication, and present their results at research conferences. Their work may involve superconducting microwave circuit design and simulation, cleanroom device fabrication, setup and operation of cryogenic systems, microwave control electronics and software.

Applicants should possess, or be close to completion, a doctorate in physics or a related field and ideally a strong background in either experimental quantum information or quantum device physics.

Previous experience in the field of superconducting quantum circuits will be an advantage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills. The postholder will have the opportunity to teach.
