Postdoctoral researcher
Job descriptionIn the framework a collaboration with the company Janssen Pharmaceutics, we have a vacant position for a post-doctoral researcher within UGent expertise Centre for X-ray Tomography (www.ugct.ugent.be). In this project, the full potential of X-ray computed tomography for analyzing the 3D structure of pharmaceutical solid dosage forms will be investigated. Different contrast techniques (conventional lab-based µCT imaging, phase contrast CT, diffraction imaging, …) will be evaluated, and means to extract qualitative and quantitative information from this data will be developed. You will be responsible for the data acquisition (in close collaboration with the UGCT team) and the development of the tools and workflows for the data analysis. You will also have the daily supervision of PhD and master thesis students, and will be in close contact with the industrial partner. We offer an employment contract of 3 years, starting in December 2019 at the earliest, depending on the availability of the successful candidate. Profile of the candidateApplicants should have:
