This position is supported by the Department of Energy Quantum Science Center (QSC, https://qscience.org/), a National Quantum Information Science Research Center. The candidate will closely collaborate with other Center researchers, as well as Dr. Roman Lutchyn and Dr. Chetan Nayak (Microsoft Station Q). Postdoctoral research associates appointed to the Quantum Science Center will engage with a network of universities, national laboratories, and industry to overcome key roadblocks in quantum state resilience, controllability, and, ultimately, the scalability of quantum technologies to realize quantum future. Postdoctoral Scholar appointments are full-time training programs of advanced academic preparation and research training under the mentorship of a faculty member. The position has an anticipated duration of two years with a possibility of an extension to the third year if mutually agreed. Anticipated start date is January 2021.
