The Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science at Tübingen University invites applications for the position of

Professor (W3) of Organic Chemistry (m/f/d)

The position is due to commence on April 1st, 2022. 

The successful candidate is expected to carry out independent research and teaching in Organic Chemistry. Applications from candidates with successful track record in a topical area of Organic Chemistry with focus on methods of organic synthesis for the production of functional molecules are welcome. The willingness for scientific cooperation within the Faculty of Science and in particular within the Department of Chemistry is expected. The successful candidate is expected to teach Organic Chemistry in the undergraduate and graduate programs in chemistry (B. Sc. and M. Sc., B. Ed. and M. Ed.), as well as in other study courses. The readiness to teach in English is expected. The candidate should have a high level of dedication to teaching, the successful acquirement of third-party funding, an outstanding publication and presentation track record as well as international activities and experience. Moreover, academic self-government at the university and the Department of Chemistry is expected.

Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching effectiveness.
