Work­ing field:

Rese­arch on the form­a­tion and prop­er­ties of sil­icon-bear­ing clus­ters and nan­o­par­ti­cles rel­ev­ant for astro­phys­ics, astro­chem­istry (form­a­tion of inter­stel­lar mole­cu­les and dust grains) and mater­ial sci­ence wit­hin a DFG-fun­ded pro­ject by means of mod­ern opti­cal and IR laser spec­tro­scopy; pos­sib­il­ity to obtain a PhD degree.

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in phys­ics, chem­istry or rela­ted fields; exper­i­ence in some of the areas of lasers, optics, elec­tron­ics, molecu­lar spec­tro­scopy, mass spec­tro­metry, vacuum tech­no­logy or quan­tum chem­istry is desi­red. Good com­mand of Ger­man and/or Eng­lish requi­red; the will­ing­ness to learn eit­her Eng­lish or Ger­man is expec­ted.
