The Institute for Applied Physics of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster will be offering a temporary position for three years from the earliest possible date

salary group 13 TV-L

 

to occupy.

The regular part-time working time (50%) is currently 19 hours 55 minutes per week and the teaching obligation is 2 SWS.

The scope of duties includes:
Basic and application-oriented research for the excitation and control of transversal modes in laser systems.

We offer you:

The recruitment requirements are:

  • Master's degree from a university or (specialized) university in physics, electrical engineering or a comparable degree program.
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one of the following topics: Construction and characterization of diode-pumped solid-state lasers, coupling of transverse modes or numerical modeling of light propagation in open multimode resonators.
  • Ability for independent scientific work, problem solving and result presentation.
