Research Fellow (Dye Chemistry)Apply now Job no: 494576 Job Title: Research Fellow in Dye Chemistry Location: Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore Employment: one-year contract, renewable Full/Part Time: Full-Time What Your Job Will Be LikeAssistant Professor Liu Xiaogang’s group is looking for a research fellow to (1) computationally model fluorescent organic molecules, to reveal their detailed working mechanism and systematically summarize molecular design rules for developing novel dyes with tailored properties, and/or (2) synthesize organic dyes, characterize their spectral properties and biocompatibility, and conduct bioimaging/biosensing work based on these dyes. The postdoctoral researcher will work as part of a team and interact closely with both computational chemists and experimentalists. Research topics include (but are not limited to) developing novel fluorophores with enhanced brightness and photostability for super-resolution fluorescence imaging and two-photon fluorescence imaging, and fluorescent probes with various functionalities. This job is for a one-year period, with the option for further extension (for up to three years in total). A highly competitive salary package will be offered.
