The Opportunity: The School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment (SEAE) at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, is looking for one fixed-term Research Fellow in the field of Experimental Petrology. The postdoc position (1-year duration, with the possibility of extension by 1 year) will be part of a dynamic research group led by Associate Professor Andy Tomkins that aims to investigate melting related to metasomatic processes in subduction zones and the overlying mantle wedge. We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious and skilled researcher capable of conducting independent research, co-supervising graduate students as part of a team, and managing the safe operation of a high pressure experimental petrology laboratory.
